Point de Gaze

Jodie Mack creates a mesmerising viewing experience through the filming of lace and different fabrics, which turn from delicate shades of white to spectacular colours and finally to deep black. The extreme close-up on the fabrics disconnects the textile from its use, and emphasises its sensuality and feel. This is how the film merges the abstract and the tangible with a special look at the art of lace.
