Chaplin stars as the iconic Tramp who ventures into frozen Alaska in search of gold and finds himself entangled in a series of hilarious and touching adventures. Along the way, he encounters a colorful cast of characters, falls head over heels for a beautiful woman, and tries to win her heart with his strange but irresistible charm. In 1988, The Gold Rush was selected by the American Film Institute as one of the 100 greatest American films of all time.
