The Gold Rush- 100th anniversary

To mark the 100th anniversary of The Gold Rush, one of the greatest and most beloved comedies in the history of cinema, we are proud to present a festive screening of a newly restored version, premiered earlier this year as part of Cannes Classics at the Cannes Film Festival. This screening will take place on the exact centennial of the film’s original release, June 26, 1925, and will be part of a global celebration held on the same day. Chaplin stars as the iconic Tramp who ventures into frozen Alaska in search of gold and finds himself entangled in a series of hilarious and touching adventures. Along the way, he encounters a colorful cast of characters, falls head over heels for a beautiful woman, and tries to win her heart with his strange but irresistible charm. In 1988, The Gold Rush was selected by the American Film Institute as one of the 100 greatest American films of all time.
