Arthur Cave, the 15-year-old son of musician Nick Cave, was killed in 2015. At the time of his death, Cave was in the midst of recording his 16th album, “The Skeleton Tree”. Originally, Dominik's film was supposed to be a performance film, but after the tragic circumstances it became an intimate documentation of the recording process, and Cave and his family’s attempt to deal with and come to terms with death.
