Interactive Screening of Grease- in memoriam event in honor of Maya Puder

Our beloved Maya loved films. She loved following the main character. Admiring the direction and editing. There was a time she dreamed of Hollywood. But in recent years, the dream she spoke about most was casting herself in the films she planned to produce.

Maya had a deep love for the world of imagination. Watching her drift off in thought, giggling along the way, was one of the most heartwarming sights. She had a way of making it feel perfectly natural to believe that imagination could be reality.

Maya loved people. She loved to love. It was part of her essence—it made her who she was. And in her passing, she left behind all those she loved within the embrace of our family nest.

Maya chose to study Cinema because it wove together the things she cherished most: stories, imagination, and people. She knew she wanted to share all of these with the world - through her incredible gift for creating, dreaming, producing, directing, and casting films with open endings. She never got the chance to bring them to life.

Maya carried with her a radiant energy - of love, of joy. She was pure light, just like her striking blue eyes. Her laughter, so full and contagious, echoed wherever she went. She brought people together simply by creating an atmosphere that was warm, kind, loving, and uplifting.

Maya was taken from us on Black Saturday, October 7, 2023. She left us longing for all that she was - and all she was yet to become.

At this gathering, we remember Maya as she truly was: A soulful actress, a dreamer-director, a loyal friend—joyful, radiant, always dancing. Truly happy.
