Directing Children
Directing Children
How do you cast and direct children and teens?
From “Charlie and a Half” to “The Kindergarten Teacher”, through the Children's Channel and the Educational Channel, children and teenagers are an integral part of film and TV, especially in the world of student filmmaking. Works featuring children in the main roles can tell about innocence and all that is good in the world but also about its dark, complex side. So how do you direct children? And how do you convey the content to them? The filmmakers on the panel will discuss how to create dialogue with child actors and how to include them in the creative process.
The panel will be attended by Limor Shmila (“Sand Storm”), Eliran Elya (“The Good City”, “Doubtful”) and Shirili Deshe (“The Parents”, “Carmel”, “Tree House Kids”)
Moderator: Yon Tumarkin
