Renowned American director Gus Van Sant will hold an online talk hosted by Nir Ferber. Van Sant was praised at the beginning of his career as an up-and-coming independent filmmaker and later burst into the consciousness of the general public. His films usually deal with marginal cultures and are considered part of the new queer cinema movement of the 90s. Among his works: "Good Will Hunting" which was nominated for an Academy Award for Best Director, "Milk" which was nominated for eight Oscars, and the film "Elephant", winner of the Golden Palm Award at the Cannes Film Festival. His acclaimed film "My Own Private Idaho" will be screened during the festival.
