Beyond the Comfort Zone: Art in a Time of Sensitivity

Since October 7th, the landscape of television and film viewing in Israel has undergone a dramatic shift. Major networks have steered away from controversial content, and many creators are left to ask themselves anew: What can still make it to the screen?

In this honest and timely panel, we’ll explore, together with leading filmmakers and creators, the evolving public perception, the changing cultural discourse, and the delicate boundary between art and criticism. We’ll discuss the courage required to continue creating sensitive and critical work, and how meaningful cultural creation can still emerge in a time when the public sphere is becoming increasingly charged.

Panelists include: Ayelet Heller (“Black Flag”), Dani Rosenberg (“About Dogs and People”, “The Vanishing Soldier”)

Moderated by: Moran Ovadia
