Adaptation Workshop 2022
Adaptation Workshop 2022
Mentor: Yosef Pitchhadze
An adaptation film workshop is unique, in that workshop participants are given the opportunity to create short films from their personal interpretation of a selected text. This year, male and female students created texts inspired by the iconic film "Woman Under Influence" created by John Cassavetes in 1974. In his pioneering cinematic vision, Cassavetes saw cinematic creation as a process of self-inquiry, and through it he sought to examine the meaning of his life and the lives of those around him. Cassavetes’ quasi-documentary aesthetic has brought cinema to groundbreaking achievements, with the help of which the creator and viewers have been able to dive into the intricacies of the characters' souls, their repressed emotions and the complex relationship between them.
The films will include only Hebrew subtitles.
