Like his father, Tom is a real estate agent who earns a living from dirty, and often ruthless deals. However, a chance encounter reignites his passion for the piano, leading him to pursue a new career. He auditions for concerts with the help of a beautiful, young virtuoso pianist who cannot speak French, and music becomes their only language of communication. Yet, the pressures from his ugly day job soon become more than he can handle.
