What is experimental cinema? A concept that is not easy to define, and rightly so. Sometimes it is a cinema without a narrative, or films in which the narrative is not the main object. It is sometimes of abstract nature and acts in ways that are “unacceptable” to traditional cinema. What is certain is that this is a different kind of cinema, a magical and fascinating kind of platform, where one can examine the world in general and the world of cinema in particular.

The Competition for Video Art and Experimental Cinema is dedicated to works that look at the world from a slightly different angle and to creators looking to challenge the traditional language of cinema.
