The Last Lost Shot

Cécile Fontaine

8 Minutes France

A “found footage” film, created for an exhibition about apocalypse in cinema, combines in an ingenious and humorous way between clips from a weapons demonstration film and innocent images of children's drawings and stories, clips from nature films and a raincoat advertisement inspired by the biblical flood. Cécile Fontaine refers to film as a medium of plastic art, and masterfully controls experimental cinematic techniques, such as scratching, soaking it and cutting it into pieces, providing a special and thought-provoking visual experience.
