Tel Aviv

Tel-Aviv, the first Hebrew city and the cultural and business capital of Israel, is the place where the International Student Film Festival is taking place.

In the coming year, the city of Tel-Aviv will be celebrating 100 years since its establishment, 100 years of human stories, 100 years of culture and art, and 100 years of unique integration between East and West, and old and new. The 100 year celebration for Tel-Aviv stands as a tribute to the artists, the entrepreneurs and dreamers that make Tel-Aviv the special city that she is. The large audience attending the Festival, and the visiting guests from overseas, make Tel-Aviv – the city that never sleeps – an even more turbulent, energetic and lively place. Could we ask for a warmer home for a Festival dedicated to young artists, to young art?

As a tribute to Tel-Aviv’s 100th anniversary, the Festival will honor the city and place it in its core: starting with the documentary film project “In Tel-Aviv”, which looks at the places that create the ‘Tel-Avivi’ beat of life, and ending with the project “It Happened One Night”, which bridges between local and foreign students who go out in to the city and make joint films at different locations within it.
